How to Join ECBB

Membership Process

1)  Attend Your First Breakfast Meeting
Accept an invitation from a Member to attend a regular weekly Breakfast meeting.   First time guests are welcome by Member Invitation - or - by Reserving a seat through this website. An RSVP is not necessary if invited by a Member.  First Time Guests eat free.

2)  Attend a Second Meeting
If there is no other Member representing your Business or profession, and if you are still interested in joining, attend a second Breakfast Meeting at your own expense to further acquaint yourself with our members and group purpose.

3)  Apply for Membership
If - after two meetings - you desire to become a Member of ECBB, complete the "Request for Membership"  form in the column to the right (paper version can be requested at the breakfast meetings).

4)  Screening and Group Vote
Once a completed application is received by the Membership Chairperson, the application will be reviewed and checked for proper licensing and references (if necessary).  Applications received before noon Thursday, will be voted on by the current Members via email before the following scheduled Breakfast Meeting.   Candidates will be contacted by email or phone with the results of the vote.

Membership Policies

Members are added and removed from the group by a vote of other Members in good standing.  Those seeking membership should follow the process outlined above.

Professional Standards
ECBB is a business network and referral group seeking to build and promote each members' businesses through qualified referrals.  It is imperative that all Members maintain a high standard of integrity and professional ethics for their own sakes and for the sake of the group.  Lack of professionalism or integrity, dishonesty, or any other behavior that diminishes the reputation or effectiveness of the group is grounds for calling a vote to remove a Member from ECBB.

All ECBB Members who work in a profession that requires a license, certification, commission, special bond or insurance must meet the minimum standard of the law and/or the customary expectation of their industry.  Members are also expected to maintain the required Business Licensing as required the community in sheich they live. Members who misrepresent their qualifications in this area may be immediately removed from membership by a majority vote the leadership team.

Attendance and Participation
Members are expected to maintain consistent attendance at all regularly scheduled meetings, unless they notify a group officer in advance.  Any "No show / No call" will be considered an unexcused absence.  After 3 unexcused absences in any 13 - week period, that member can be voted on by the group for removal from membership at any regular meeting.  Repeated "excused absences" (more than 6 in any 6-month period) may also be grounds to revoke membership by a majority vote of current members in attendance at a regular breakfast meeting.

Productive and Fruitful Members
Once your membership is confirmed, you will be welcomed into a group who is committed to helping you grow your businesses.  Because we only allow one from each business and expect loyalty to one another, it is ESSENTIAL that each Member attends regularly, supports the group by bringing referrals to other members, by paying their Dues on time, and by maintaining high standards in their professional life.  Any breech in the above can be grounds for revoking Membership.
